How to set up Lockout
Lockout is a free overlay you drop straight into your TikTok LIVE. While you play, your viewers spend TikTok gifts to seal your WASD and Space keys for a few seconds at a time - a bold red countdown shows exactly which key is down. This guide takes you from install to your first lock on stream.

- The TikBoom launcher, installed and running.

Install Lockout from the launcher
Open the TikBoom launcher, pick Lockout and hit Play. The launcher downloads it and starts it for you. Lockout is free - you only need to be signed in.

Add the overlay to your stream
Lockout opens two windows: a control window where you set everything up, and a transparent overlay window that shows your keys. In TikTok Live Studio (or OBS), add a window capture source and pick the Lockout overlay - the background is transparent, so only the keys land on stream. The drag bar at the top only appears when you hover it, so it never shows up in your capture.

Assign a gift to each key
In the control window open Keys & gifts. For W, A, S, D and Space, pick the TikTok gift that locks it and set how long the lock lasts. Drag the gift icon in the live preview to position it exactly where you want it on the key.

Connect the webhooks
Each key shows a webhook URL. Copy it into your gift tool (TikTory, TikFinity, ...) so the matching gift fires the lock. Keep the launcher running the whole time - it's what routes every gift to Lockout.

Go live
When a viewer sends the gift, the key locks instantly: a red X, a live countdown and the gift icon appear over it, and it unlocks itself when the timer runs out. That's it - your chat now controls your keyboard.
The overlay sits over your gameplay. A locked key turns red with a cross, the seconds left tick down, and the gift that triggered it floats above. Everything below is exactly how it renders on stream.

Keys & gifts
Wire each key to a gift and a duration.
- Assigned gift - which TikTok gift locks this key.
- Label - the text on the key cap (up to 12 characters).
- Gift size - scale the gift icon from 0.4x to 2x.
- Default lock time - 1 to 120 seconds, baked into the webhook URL.
- Webhook URL + Test - copy the URL, or fire a test lock from the UI.
Lock behavior
Decide what happens when gifts pile up on the same key.
- Stack - new gifts add their time on top, locks pile up.
- Restart - a new gift restarts the timer at its full duration.
- Ignore - extra gifts do nothing until the current lock ends.
- Maximum lock time - a hard cap so a key can't stay locked forever.
- Anti-cheat protection - pauses blocking while a known anti-cheat runs.
Sound
Play a sound when a key locks and when it frees up.
- Lock sound - plays the moment a key gets sealed.
- Release sound - plays when a lock expires.
- Master volume - from -40 dB up to +6 dB.
Appearance
Style the overlay to match your scene.
- Colors - key, locked key, label, lock cross and countdown.
- Show lock cross - the red X over a locked key.
- Show countdown - the seconds left on a locked key.
- Show gift icons - the assigned gift above each key.
These are the URLs you paste into your gift tool. The launcher listens on a fixed port, so they never change. Add ?duration=<seconds> to override the per-key default.

- Anti-cheat protection only detects Vanguard, EAC, BattlEye and FACEIT. If your game uses a different anti-cheat, turn the protection off (or stop streaming) before you play.
- Closing the control window quits Lockout completely, overlay included.
